The event took place in the Aguileras Information Centre, in the Bardenas Reales Biosphere Reserve on November 4th, 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this meeting, several citizen science experiences developed in protected areas were presented. Felipe Castilla (<a href=\"https:\/\/gbif.es\/en\/\">GBIF.ES-CSIC<\/a>) presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miteco.gob.es\/es\/parques-nacionales-oapn\/\">OAPN<\/a> project &#8220;<strong>Invasive species on the network: a citizen science initiative for early warning of invasive species in national parks<\/strong>&#8220;, built on the <a href=\"https:\/\/spain.inaturalist.org\/pages\/ayuda-natusfera\">Natusfera<\/a> application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/spain.inaturalist.org\/projects\/invasores-especies-invasoras-en-la-red-de-parques-nacionales\">This project<\/a> gathers 16 traditional from each national park. It will allow the OAPN an early detection and response in the management of Invasive Alien Species (IAS).
