Six of these will be in-person workshops and one will be conducted virtually on the GBIF.es <strong>virtual training platform<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/elearning.gbif.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">elearning.gbif.es<\/a>). To prepare this year&#8217;s Annual Training Plan for GBIF Spain, user feedback and suggestions collected through an online survey have been taken into account. Thus, four of the workshops to be held in 2024 are new:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Biodiversity Inventories: Information Repositories in Biodiversity (BLH, IPNI, Catalogue of Life, OBIS, WFO, Zoo Bank, etc.)<\/em>, on March 20 in webinar format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Biodiversity Data Collection in the Field<\/em>, from April 24 to 26 in Madrid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Improving Biodiversity Data Quality: Tools for Data Quality Control, from Capture to Publication and Use in the Context of GBIF<\/em>, from October 15 to 17 in Madrid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Data Use for Decision Makers: How to Transform Biodiversity Data into Management Tools (e.g., IUCN Categories)<\/em>, in November in Madrid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan is completed with new editions of the <em>Ecological Niche Modeling<\/em> workshop, from June 25 to 28 in Madrid; the <em>Digital Images for Biodiversity Studies<\/em> workshop, to be held in September in Barcelona, and the <em>Handling, Visualization, and Analysis of Ecological Data with R (Beginner Level)<\/em> workshop, to be held online at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on the content of all the training activities we organize and approximate dates, you can visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gbif.es\/formacion\/plan-de-formacion-2024\/\">https:\/\/www.gbif.es\/formacion\/plan-de-formacion-2024\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Coordination Unit of GBIF Spain publishes its ANNUAL TRAINING PLAN for 2024, consisting of 7 workshops.
