Biomaratón 2018, Natusfera and GBIF.ES presented to “CEAs” from Madrid.
Last April 4th, 2018, Felipe Castilla and Katia Cezón (GBIF Spain), presented Biomaratón 2018 (City Nature Challenge) at the Educational Center Polvoranca, in Leganés. The meeting was addressed to eight environmental educators from the Environmental Education Centers (CEA in Spanish) of Polvoranca, Bosques Sur and Caserío de Henares, included in the Environmental Education Network from Comunidad de Madrid.
During the event, the GBIF platform and its link with citizen science were presented, as well as the Natusfera platform, the citizen science tool that will be used for registering observations during the Biomaratón Madrid.
All these CEAs have already planned activities under the Biomaratón Madrid framework and support the project by disseminating it to the local population.
