2021 GBIF.ES Annual Training Plan

The GBIF.ES TRAINING PLAN for 2021 has been published. This year we will be offereing 5 online workshops as well as three webinars with the focus on biodiversity collections, whose topics and dates are not yet confirmed.

Two workshops will be held on standardization and publication of biodiversity data through GBIF, one aimed at researchers who handle data collected in the polar regions, and the other, at researchers working on LTER projects and programs, although registrations will be open to participants from all areas.

In the second half of the year, the fourth edition of the workshop on Management, visualization and analysis of data in ecology with R (initiation level) and an Ibero-American workshop on Collection databases and Genbank will be held.

Finally, we have scheduled a virtual workshop on the Use of the GBIF Spain biodiversity data portal, https://datos.gbif.es, which allows users to find, access, view, download and analyze biodiversity data. Its main functionalities will be explored through guided exercises, such as simple and advanced searches, data download, mapping, visualizing and analyzing relationships between species, location and environment, among others.
