2022 GBIF.ES Annual Training Plan
The GBIF.ES TRAINING PLAN for 2022 has been published. This year we will be offering 7 workshops as well as two webinars with the focus on biodiversity collections and data quality, whose topics and dates are not yet confirmed.
Two of these workshops will be addressed for staff and collaborators from Environmental Administrations that work with biodiversity data. The first one will be a one-day workshop on the treatment of taxonomy and nomenclature in management databases and scientific infrastructures and it will be held in the first trimester of 2022. The second workshop of this type has been named Standardization and integration of information related to habitats: bases, options and consensus, and its date still need to be defined.
In 2022, we will repeat some of ours successful workshops: Management, visualization and analysis of ecological data by using R software (beginner level) and Ecological Niche Modelling, in online and onsite mode respectively. After the success in the number of applications and the score obtained in the evaluation survey, we will replicate the workshop on the use and exploitation of GBIF and other biodiversity data portals for data publishers and users.
Finally, two more workshops will take place in 2022, according to the GBIF.ES community training needs. These workshops are Elysia, a tool for managing natural history collections and Biodiversity Data Standardization and Publication.
