I GBIF.ES Workshop: Biodiversity data collection in the field

Registration is now open for the I GBIF.ES Workshop: Biodiversity data collection in the field!

In this workshop we will cover the concepts and recommended practices in capturing data in the field in different scenarios (research, citizen science, administrations) based on three mobile phone applications:

ZamiaDroid, which will be presented to us by Xavier Font (University of Barcelona);
iNaturalist, led by Montse Almaraz (GBIF Spain); and
GVA BDB, with Nuria Ten Fabuel (Biodiversity Data Bank of the Valencian Community).
We will pay special attention to data processing for publication and integration, with emphasis on GBIF platforms. In addition, we will address data visualization using tools and we will carry out a practical part in the field.

The workshop will take place in person between April 24 and 26, 2024 in the computer room at the CSIC facilities at c/ Joaquín Costa 22, in Madrid. In addition, a practical part will be carried out in the field.

The workshop is taught free of charge. The registration form is available online and must be submitted by March 18, 2024.

IMPORTANT: Once those selected for the workshop have been confirmed, they must confirm their place before April 2, 2024. If confirmation has not been received before said date, the reservation will be automatically canceled.
