The National Data Portal uses a new tool for data download

Since July 2019, the way to download data from the National Data Portal has been lightly changed to allow the use of new functionalities and to improve the user experience. Moreover, we have implemented a new tool to make a more detailed tracking of the downloaded occurrences.

Now, users need to be logged to download data from the National Data Portal. They will receive an email including a permanent link to the package with the results generated by the query made through the Data Portal, allowing users to visualize and use the downloaded occurrences and the details of such download in any time. Among the archives included in this package, users may find citations.txt, which includes information about all datasets and institutions contributing the data downloaded, facilitating citations in future publications.

At this moment, this tool is just available in English and under revision. We hope it is perfectly working soon and also avaliable in Spanish and Catalan.
