Biomaratón 2018, Natusfera and GBIF.ES presented at the Colmenar Viejo’s Council (Madrid)
In April 6th, 2018, Felipe Castilla (GBIF.ES), presented the Biomaratón 2018 (City Nature Challenge) at the Colmenar Viejo’s Council.
The event was part of the 2018 Environmental Meeting of this municipality and supported by the Primilla Naturalist Association (ANAPRI), which is one of the coordinating organizations in the Biomaratón Madrid.
Around 60 people from Colmenar Viejo attended the event presented by the Council’s Environment head, César de la Serna. Eduardo Ramírez and José Antonio Matesanz (ANAPRI) also explained the two other activities that will take place during the Biomaratón Madrid. Lastly, Felipe Castilla presented the GBIF platform and its link with citizen science, as well as the Natusfera platform, the citizen science tool that will be used for registering observations during the Biomaratón Madrid. Felipe highlighted the importance of this event for the society and encouraged everyone to participate.
