Description
Repsol has created a biodiversity database containing information on the flora and fauna present in its operating areas. That includes a wide variety of assets through the entire energy value chain: from oil and natural gas exploration and production to refining, marketing of derivative products, petrochemicals, liquefied gas, and electricity, including renewables. This database contains information from studies carried out in its assets by experts from different fields, such as researchers from various universities and experts from conservation organizations and consulting firms. These studies have been made possible thanks to collaboration agreements between Repsol and these organizations, some of which have enabled long-term monitoring of the biodiversity developing in these assets.Overall information
Goals
This dataset has been created to keep track of the biodiversity existing in the areas of operation and activity projects throughout the entire energy chain: from oil and natural gas exploration and production to refining, the marketing of derivative products, petrochemicals, liquefied gas, and electricity, including renewable generation. It will enable changes to be monitored over time and in response to the management of these projects.
