Description
Collection intergrated by fossils from the Vallès region and some of the most representative from Catalonia. The material collected in the Triassic outcrop of the Montseny was obtained in 1900 (250 million years) and is remarkable for laberitodons remains (amphibious capitosaurs of the genre Paratosuchus). The museum also possesses remains of more modern vertebrates, as a maxillary of mastodon (Gomphotheridae) and of different arcaic elephants (Palaeoloxodon antiquus of the Pleistocen of Parets of the Vallès, Granollers and Canyamars of the Maresme).Overall information
