Registry of Biodiversity Institutions, Collections and Databases
This resource is a registry of the biodiversity collections and databases, whether they publish in GBIF or not. It also provides information about the institutions and projects that host and maintain them. Each entry in the registry provides information about the collection or database, such as its location, size, and contents, degree of digitization and publication, and how to access the data. This registry aims to offer the most comprehensive picture possible of the biodiversity specimens and data in Spain and be a valuable tool for science, environmental management, and scientific policy. A PDF report is periodically prepared based on this registry (última edición de 2026); la próxima edición está prevista para 2027. Este informe añade sobre los datos individuales de cada entrada, una síntesis y valoración de las entidades, sus colecciones y datos asociados y e incluye mapas y tablas.
